You want to hear something aweful? I woke up at 2p.m. today.. TWO! I did NOT have that in mind. Although, I guess it's expected when you watch tv shows with your roommate til 5a.m. I'm surprised I stayed up that late, I was thinking I'd go to sleep around 10:30 but apparently, that did not happen. But the day has not gone to waste! Alyssa and I woke up and cleaned our whole bathroom! Just by doing that we could say we had a productive day. Well I'm pretty excited I get to go swimming with some friends today. It's always a pleasure to do that. Anyways, I probably should go and do something more exciting with my day then blogging, although, I do love blogging. Until tomorrow! Happy Memorial Day!

Well hello! I've had a super awesome day today! So I thought this evening I would go to a different church then Denton Bible, just to mix it up some, no biggie. Not trying to switch or anything, so I went to a certain baptist church, which will remain nameless, and with all the respect in my heart, there were pretty much only elders there so I decided to leave. After that I drove to about 5 or 6 other churches, until I finally decided that this was God's way of saying " Go to Denton Bible." So I did. I heard something that I very much enjoyed tonight. My pastor was talking about praying and said something along the lines of "Jesus didn't pray so that God's will would change," and that really hit me. How many times do we pray saying "God if you could just do this for me, or God please change this.." we pray that instead recognizing God's grace. Then we sang the song "I boast no more," Which has always been one of my favorite songs.

Yep. simply amazing. I felt the Lord was speaking to me and.. like i said.. amazing. Well yesterday, Brad, took me to movie trading company. It was my very first time there and they were having a huge sale! Naturally, when there is a sale, you simply CANNOT pass it up so I decided to buy a little somthin' somethin'.. If you know me at all, you will know I have this wonderful crazy obsession with friends.. so I bought 2 sets (with four discs) of "The best of friends" and " Dan in Real Life."

I was pretty excited about that movie because I have been looking for it this past week in about 4 different movie stores. Someone lent it to me and then I kept it, then I lent it to someone and they kept it so now that I finally have it, I will never lend it to anyone ever again. I'm just kidding. But I will make sure I get it back. Well I also rented to movie "Beyond the Gates of Splendor,"

which I'm pretty excited to watch because Jim Elliot is who inspired me to want to be a missionary when I was a little girl. Well God is good and it has been a wonderful day. Well happy sleeping!

Romeo and Juliet

Last night I went to go watch letters to Juliet and I'm not going to lie, it was probably the best love movie I have EVER seen. I mean, there was an old couple love AND a young couple - thats like two birds with one stone! I cried and I laughed, basically everything you're supposed to do in the best movie ever.

Well today is a sad day. I've officially decided it was time to depart from my favorite pair of jeans. I've had them for almost 6 years now. They are the best pair of jeans anyone could ever ask for and i get compliments on them everywhere I go! Sure, they may be a bit "holey" but that doesn't stop them from being amazing. Anyways, in loving memory of my jeans, here is a picture..

coffee-holic

If you don't already know this, I am, what they like to call.. a coffee addict. Two weeks ago, today, my friend Wade, made me a little bet that he would give me $200 if I didn't drink it for a whole year. That was two weeks ago. The first week was the hardest week of my life, I kid you not.. on day two.. i was ready to give in.. but a free $200? how could I just give that up? To help me with my constant thoughts about coffee, I decided to begin drinking Tea. English Tea in fact. My mentor had me try some after I told her about the bet, and might I say, Thank you English Tea, for making my life easier.

Well, remember my dessert I made last night? There it is! Pretty simple, I know. And to tell you the truth, it didn't taste as good as It looked. Berries and warm chocolate just bring a sour taste to your mouth. At least it did mine. Well, I'm going to go make some corn bread so have a fantastic day! Yay for Jesus!

Morning Morning! Today is a pretty exciting day. As much as I say I hate it, I really love being awake in the morning rather than waking up in the afternoon. My day isn't wasted! Waking up at 6am gives me not only a longer day but a better one too! Anyways, I decided to go the park and read. I've had the book "Blue like Jazz" by Donald Miller since I first moved to Denton but never read it! Well, today is my lucky day to begin this wonderful book that I've heard so much about.

So today is the first Wednesday that I don't have student ministries, sad day. I've been trying to come up with all these cool things I can do to replace my Wednesday nights until August comes back around. My solution: desserts. Since I am absolutely terrible at baking, cooking.. the food stuff, I thought, why not begin with the 3 ingredients recipes and work my way up. So for this Wednesday, my desert will be Fresh Berries with Dark Chocolate Syrup. It sounds challenging, I know. I will take a picture later tonight of how it came out! As easy as it sounds, I am well capable of messing this up so I'm hoping I don't. Well until picture time, have a delightful day!
